ran 60 mins on treadmill. used heartrate monitor stayed within 65-70% entire run. pace was slow at that hr (5.3-5.5). Last 5 mins tried to test my max HR. couldn't get it up past 185. Not sure why?

suppose to cut back this week. decided to run from the house around the area. not a very good course. hard to run that long around here. wore heart rate monitor for first time. max was 174, seemed to feel best at 150.

Ran 30 mins on tread super slow. Legs still sore from Sunday

7.5 mile course not sure time we forgot our watch, guessing around 70ish
didn't run as well as last week, a little sick though, maybe thats why. the weather didn't help either, couldn't feel my hands the whole run.

We've started a weekly ritual of getting a babysitter so we can get in our long run Sunday mornings.
This morning we ran at 9am at Umstead Park. 7.5 hilly miles (71:30). It was really hot but strange enough it seemed easy. John struggled a bit, not as much time for workouts with the new job. i beat him for once and I must admit it felt good!

Boilermaker 15K
John and I are planning to run the Boilermaker 15K on July 13th. http://www.boilermaker.com/
I've been working out pretty regularly since March. Mainly taking classes at Lifetime Fitness. I'm hoping Cardio Kickbox and Total Conditioning, etc will give me the endurance to finish the race as running like I did last year doesn't appeal to me as much. Plus my feet still seem to blister no matter what I do!
John promised that he would run the race alongside me so we could finish together! Yeah we'll see about that. He keeps asking how fast I plan to run it in and keeps changing my goal time. I think he's got me finishing in 75mins! Not a chance. I just hope to finish and to lose this winter beer belly I've nicely attained
