felt great! ate one Gu at 6 miles. got second wind at end had to speed up to maintain 140 HR. HR didn't spike at end of run like usual. sprinted up gradual hill last 3 mins. trying to get to max HR. was only able to get to 183. knees hurt just a little during run.

We've started a weekly ritual of getting a babysitter so we can get in our long run Sunday mornings.
This morning we ran at 9am at Umstead Park. 7.5 hilly miles (71:30). It was really hot but strange enough it seemed easy. John struggled a bit, not as much time for workouts with the new job. i beat him for once and I must admit it felt good!

Boilermaker 15K

John and I are planning to run the Boilermaker 15K on July 13th. http://www.boilermaker.com/
I've been working out pretty regularly since March. Mainly taking classes at Lifetime Fitness. I'm hoping Cardio Kickbox and Total Conditioning, etc will give me the endurance to finish the race as running like I did last year doesn't appeal to me as much. Plus my feet still seem to blister no matter what I do!
John promised that he would run the race alongside me so we could finish together! Yeah we'll see about that. He keeps asking how fast I plan to run it in and keeps changing my goal time. I think he's got me finishing in 75mins! Not a chance. I just hope to finish and to lose this winter beer belly I've nicely attained
